Quote of the Week:

Never fear shadows. They simply mean there's a light shining somewhere nearby

Joke of the Week:

Santa: I am so miser (kanjoos) that I went alone for my honeymoon and saved half the money.
Banta: That is nothing, I saved full money. I sent my wife for honeymoon with a friend.

Effective Rotary Club

Rotary Clubs fulfill the object of Rotary and the four avenues of service by being effective clubs. Effective clubs are identified by their ability to:

  • Sustain and grow their membership base.

  • Implement successful service projects in their community & communities in other countries.

  • Support the Rotary Foundation both financially and through programme participation.

  • Develop leaders capable of serving in Rotary beyond the club level.

  • Should strive to keep current members and bring in new members.

  • Need committed, knowledgable members who wish to provide service.

  • Service above Self, embodies the ideal of service that a club must practice locally and globally in order to be effective. These service efforts make a positive difference in the world.

  • Support the mission of The Rotary Foundation, world peace and understanding, by participating in different foundation programmes. Financial contribution of Rotary Clubs ensures that the programmes of the Foundation and its mission continue.

  • Effective clubs plan for the future by continually developing potential leaders for office at all levels of the organization.
